Oregon State is wasting no time making moves in 2026, diving headfirst into the transfer portal window-and one of the first additions is a promising specialist with Power Five experience. The Beavers have landed a commitment from kicker Jadyn Oh, who brings both size and a solid collegiate résumé to Corvallis.
Oh, standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, arrives from Syracuse, where he handled full-time placekicking duties in 2025. Originally from Chantilly High School in Virginia, Oh first saw action during his redshirt freshman season in 2024.
He stepped in against Holy Cross and went on to handle field goals and extra points over four games. That early exposure set the stage for a larger role last season, when he became the Orange’s primary kicker.
For Oregon State, this is a strategic pickup during a pivotal stretch. The transfer portal officially opened on January 2 and runs through January 16, giving the new Beavers coaching staff-led by Coach Shephard-a narrow window to reshape the roster. Oh’s commitment signals the staff’s intent to shore up key positions, and special teams is often an overlooked area where games are won or lost.
Adding a kicker with FBS experience is no small move. It gives the Beavers a reliable leg with game reps under pressure, something that can’t be easily replicated in practice. Whether it’s a clutch 40-yarder in the rain or a routine PAT in a tight game, having someone who’s been there before matters.
Expect more movement in the coming days as Oregon State continues to host official visitors and build out its roster. But for now, the Beavers have locked in a steady presence in the kicking game-and that’s a strong first step.
