In a hard-fought battle under the bright lights of Las Vegas, the Oregon State Beavers fell to the No. 12 Gonzaga Bulldogs, 65-56, in the semifinal round of the 2026 Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship.
Jorge Diaz Graham was a standout for the Beavers, putting up an impressive 15 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and swatting away four shots. Josiah Lake II chipped in with eight points and four assists, while Noah Amenhauser provided a spark off the bench with 11 points and five boards. Isaiah Sy contributed seven points and eight rebounds, rounding out a solid team effort.
On the other side, Gonzaga's Graham Ike was the star of the night, leading all scorers with 24 points. The Bulldogs displayed their shooting prowess, hitting 47 percent from the field, compared to the Beavers' 34 percent.
This loss brings Oregon State's season record to 17-16, while Gonzaga continues their dominant run, improving to 29-3.
The game started with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. Gonzaga managed to carve out a 4-0 lead by the first media timeout and stretched it to 17-6 midway through the opening half.
As the first half wound down, Oregon State found themselves trailing 27-15 with five minutes to go and entered the locker room down 38-24.
The Beavers showed resilience in the second half, clawing back to within nine points with 12 minutes remaining. Despite their spirited comeback attempt, they ultimately fell short, concluding a valiant effort against a formidable Gonzaga squad.
