Oregon Still Has Three Massive Recruiting Battles Left To Win

Will the Oregon Ducks secure key commitments from top prospects to bolster their already impressive recruiting class?

The Oregon Ducks are still chasing a monster 2027 class, and the board has a few names that could swing things even higher.

With 24 current commits and a No. 2 national ranking from 247Sports, Oregon is already sitting in a strong spot. But the Ducks still have a shot to push for the top, and three uncommitted targets remain in play.

The most encouraging sign for Oregon may be at linebacker, where four-star Brayton Feister has not announced a commitment after moving back his original decision date. 247Sports currently has the Ducks in front, and Kentucky insider Josh Edwards has already logged a crystal ball prediction for Oregon.

Feister, an elite prospect from Ohio, is listed as an athlete on 247Sports, but his next stop appears likely to be linebacker. His ability to shut down the run and hold up in pass coverage makes him a rare fit at the position.

Another name still on the board is four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks, who took official visits to Notre Dame, Oregon and California in June, according to 247Sports. That trip list has made this feel like a race that could narrow to Oregon and Notre Dame.

Right now, though, the Ducks are trailing in the prediction game, with recruiting analyst Brian Dohn casting a crystal ball for Notre Dame. Even so, Parks remains a major priority for Oregon, both for his talent and for the depth he would bring.

Then there’s five-star running back Landen Williams-Callis, who has taken official visits to seven schools: Oregon, Texas A&M, Missouri, Indiana, Houston, SMU and Texas, per 247Sports. He brings eye-popping production with him, finishing last season with 3,502 rushing yards, according to MaxPreps.

Multiple Rivals insiders have him leaning toward Texas, but the recruitment is still open. If Oregon were to land him, Williams-Callis would become the Ducks’ No. 2 running back commit and could end up as the most talented prospect in the class.

Arik Armstead Just Sent A Strong Message About Oregons Defensive Future

Arik Armsteads path has always made him a useful name to keep in mind when talking about Oregons defensive identity. The Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle was back in a familiar teaching role at the 2026 Sack Summit in Las Vegas, a clinic built around NFL players sharing technique and mindset with college prospects, and his presence carried extra weight for Ducks fans because of the standard he set during a long career that has already included nine seasons with the 49ers and a Walter Payton Man of the Year honor.

Oregon also had a current defensive lineman in the mix, with Bear Alexander among the players working in the same setting. For a program that keeps trying to stock its front with size, power and pro-level habits, seeing one of its most accomplished alumni in that environment is the kind of reminder that the Ducks defensive future is still being shaped by the same voices that helped define its past. Why Oregon Fans Are Already Buying Into Iverson Hooks

Iverson Hooks arrives in Eugene with the kind of background that tends to earn attention quickly. Before becoming a wide receiver at UAB, he was a quarterback and free safety in high school, and that versatility still shows up in the way Oregon views him now. After transferring in, he brings the rsum of a player who found a way to become his former teams leading receiver and the profile of someone the Ducks believe can fit into more than one role.

For Oregon, the appeal is bigger than just another target in the passing game. Hooks is expected to give the Ducks a veteran presence in a young receiver room while also serving as an offensive weapon they can lean on when the offense needs stability. There is also a sense that his path gives him a different kind of credibility with teammates, which is part of why fans are already buying into what he might become in this offense. [Read more 🡒]
