The Oregon Ducks are making significant strides in their pursuit of 2027 four-star wide receiver Dakota Guerrant. Head coach Dan Lanning and his staff have set up an official visit with Guerrant, a move that highlights their determination to secure this top talent.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 185 pounds, Guerrant is ranked as the No. 8 wide receiver and the No. 49 player nationally according to the 247 Sports Composite. Hailing from Harper Woods High School in Michigan, he is the top-ranked player in his state.
Guerrant is scheduled to visit Eugene on June 5. This isn't his first encounter with the Ducks, as it will mark his sixth visit to the campus. His familiarity with the program is evident, having attended multiple game day visits and a recent meeting with the Ducks' staff in January.
The only other official visit Guerrant has lined up is with Michigan on June 19. Schools like Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M have also shown interest, though official visits to those programs are still pending.
Reflecting on his experiences, Guerrant shared, "I was last there for a game in the fall. The staff keeps me coming back.
I love Coach Lanning and the rest of the team. They really take the time to know me and my family."
For Guerrant, choosing Oregon would mean a focus on football. "There’s not too much to do in Oregon, so I know if I went there, I would be locked in at all times," he said.
"They will definitely get an official visit from me. I will commit after my official visits, and coaches, culture in the locker room, the offensive scheme, and winning are the things I want in my school."
Currently, the Ducks have no wide receiver commits for their 2027 class, making Guerrant a crucial target as they look to bolster their future roster.
