Oregon Just Unveiled A New Look Ducks Fans Will Definitely Debate

Collegiate teams turn heads in Week 6 with a vibrant array of uniforms, blending tradition and innovation for an eye-catching display.

Week 6 is shaping up as one of those college football weekends where the uniforms might steal as much attention as the games.

The headliner is Oregon, and the Ducks went all out for their West Coast meeting with UCLA. The look, called “Origin of Speed,” took two years to develop and ties directly to Hayward Field, the longtime home of Oregon track and field and once a football venue as well.

The base is a deep green, punched up with neon accents and numbers, while the defining touch is a kinetic wing running along the pants, helmet and shoulders. That wing sits at precisely 26.2 degrees, a nod to the miles in a marathon.

Florida is bringing its own throwback energy this week, and the Gators are reaching back to the era of Steve Spurrier’s Heisman Trophy-winning campaign in 1966. The uniform keeps things clean with a white jersey base, blue and orange sleeves, and a helmet built around a simple orange F inside a white circle on a blue background. A white and orange center stripe cuts down the middle of the shell to finish the retro look.

Notre Dame’s once-a-year all-green setup is back for the home game against Stanford. Fans will recognize the kelly-green base, white numbers and gold helmets, but this year’s version adds one fresh detail: the alternate logo of a leprechaun running with a football appears on the sleeves.

Utah is also leaning on a standout helmet this week, and the Utes’ all-white uniform gets its edge from an icy treatment on the lids. Instead of a standard logo, the Utah wordmark looks frozen, complete with snow on top and icicles hanging below, with mountain imagery underneath.

Western Kentucky’s alternate helmet is back in the mix too. The Hilltoppers are once again using their black Big Red lids, which feature multiple versions of the school’s mascot in different football poses. The team said the helmets returned by “BIG demand.”

Georgia Tech is taking the alternate decal route for its Saturday game against Duke, but the Yellow Jackets are not using their usual interlocking GT mark. The white helmets will instead feature Ramblin’ Reck, the 1930 Ford Model A Sport Coupe that leads the team onto the field before games.

Kentucky is another team going throwback this week. The Wildcats’ look stays simple with a classic white and blue color scheme, and the helmet carries a plain block-letter K.

FIU’s “Vice U” threads are back, and the 2026 version worn Wednesday night kept the annual tradition of turning heads. The Panthers’ jersey starts white at the top and fades into pink on the lower half before blending into matching neon pink pants. The white helmet includes two stripes - one pink and black, the other light blue and black - along with a light blue panther emblem.

Arkansas State rounds out the week’s alternate helmet showcase with an all-black look for its midweek matchup against South Alabama. The Red Wolves’ helmet features Howl, their mascot, in motion with one hand raised in a wolf signal.

Oregons Quarterback Situation Just Got More Complicated At The Worst Time

Dante Moore being ruled out for the upcoming game against UCLA puts Oregon in a tricky spot at exactly the wrong time, but the Ducks at least know they have a ready-made answer behind him. Dylan Raiola is expected to make the start after already stepping in and helping Oregon beat USC, when he threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns and looked comfortable running the offense.

Dan Lanning has made it clear he trusts Raiola to handle the job if Moore cannot go, while also signaling that the Ducks are not going to force the issue with concussion protocol. For Oregon, the bigger concern now is less about one game and more about how long this uncertainty lingers at quarterback as the schedule keeps moving. [Read more 🡒]

Bucky Irving Just Gave Ducks Fans A Reason To Watch Tampa Bay

Bucky Irving gave Oregon fans a little something extra to track Sunday, and it came in a game Tampa Bay needed badly. The Buccaneers went on the road and beat the Cowboys 24-16 in Week 5, with Irving doing the heavy lifting out of the backfield as he piled up a career-high 165 rushing yards and scored twice.

The performance stood out even more because Tampa Bay was again without Baker Mayfield, who missed his second straight game with a dislocated thumb. Rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels managed the offense efficiently, completing 19 of 25 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown, but Irving was the difference-maker in a win that should have Ducks fans keeping one eye on the NFL box scores. Dylan Raiola Just Showed Why Oregons QB Battle Feels Different

Dylan Raiolas arrival at Oregon has added another layer to a quarterback room that already feels unusually connected, and he made that clear this week while talking about teammate Dante Moores recent injury. Raiola said the relationship between the two goes well beyond football, a reflection of the kind of support system Oregon has tried to build under Dan Lanning, where the focus is not just on competition but on the way players handle one another through it.

For a quarterback battle, that kind of tone matters. Lanning has pointed to a culture built on connection, growth, toughness and sacrifice, and the Ducks QBs seem to be living it out in real time. Raiolas comments offered a window into a room where the stakes are obvious, but the atmosphere remains collaborative enough that one players setback does not change the respect around him.
