Oregon’s 2026 roster is drawing preseason attention, and one national projection says the Ducks could open the year with four Walter Camp All-Americans.
The Walter Camp Football Foundation released its preseason All-American teams on Tuesday, and Oregon landed four players across the two squads. Defensive backs Brandon Finney Jr. and Teitum Tuioti were named first-team All-Americans, while tight end Jamari Johnson and lineman A'Mauri Washington made the second team.
That total puts Oregon in a tie with defending national champion Indiana for the second-most selections in the country. Texas led all programs with five.
Finney’s true freshman season already looked like a breakthrough. He earned FWAA freshman All-America honors and All-Big Ten second team recognition, then capped the year by winning Orange Bowl Defensive MVP after forcing three turnovers in the quarterfinal victory. Finney finished the season with three interceptions, eight pass breakups, 42 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, a sack, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery, all while leading Oregon in interceptions and pass breakups.
Tuioti put together the best year of his career as a junior. He started all 15 games and piled up 16.0 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks, both career highs and team highs.
That production earned him All-Big Ten third team honors, and he ranked fourth in the Big Ten in tackles for loss and fifth in sacks. He also added 68 tackles, five pass breakups and two forced fumbles, finishing fourth on the Ducks in tackles.
Johnson wasn’t Oregon’s top tight end in 2025, but his numbers still jumped off the page. He started 10 games and caught 32 passes for 510 yards and three touchdowns, good for sixth in UO tight end single-season history in receiving yards. Two of those scores came in the College Football Playoff.
Washington earned third-team All-Big Ten honors in his first season as a full-time starter. He posted career bests with 33 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and eight pass breakups. Those eight pass breakups tied for the most by any FBS defensive lineman and led all Big Ten defensive linemen.
Oregon is scheduled to open fall camp in August before beginning the 2026 season against Boise State on Sept. 5 at Autzen Stadium.

A major 2027 recruiting checkpoint is coming into focus for Oregon, and it centers on Tae Walden Jr., one of the more versatile prospects in the cycle. The Collierville High School standout has built his profile by contributing on both sides of the ball, lining up at wide receiver and cornerback while backing up the ranking that has him among the nations top athletes.
Walden is nearing a decision with a group that includes Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Oregon and Ole Miss, and the Ducks remain firmly in the mix as they try to keep building momentum with Dan Lannings defensive board. Texas Is Making Oregon Sweat On Another Blue-Chip Recruiting Battle
Texas has already shown it can make life difficult for Oregon on the 2027 trail, and the latest battlegrounds are once again elite national recruits. Five-star offensive lineman Ismael Camara and four-star running back Landen Williams-Callis both have drawn serious attention from the Longhorns, with Oregon still in the mix as the Ducks continue to chase blue-chip talent at the top of the class.
Williams-Callis has Texas and Oregon among his top-10 schools, and Texas has been making a strong push as the race narrows around the highly regarded back. Oregon is not exactly thin at the position, either, with a current 2027 commitment in CaDarius McMiller and more help already on the way, which could shape how aggressively the Ducks keep pressing if this one trends elsewhere.
