Drew Fielder, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle out of Anaheim, California, announced his commitment to the Ducks, giving Oregon its second offensive line pledge of the day. Fielder is rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals, while both 247Sports and On3 have him pegged as a three-star. Regardless of the star count, the Ducks are clearly getting a big-bodied tackle with the kind of frame and upside that fits what Oregon looks for in its offensive line pipeline.
Earlier Sunday, Oregon also secured a commitment from Avery Michael, a three-star offensive tackle from Turlock High School in Northern California. Michael adds more depth and versatility to a position group that continues to be a priority in every recruiting cycle. With these two additions, Oregon is showing a clear intent to stockpile talent up front early in the 2027 cycle - a strategy that’s paid dividends in the past.
The Ducks now have four total commitments in the class. Alongside Fielder and Michael, the class also includes four-star edge rusher Cameron Pritchett and three-star linebacker Sam Ngata - a name that should sound familiar to Oregon fans. Sam is the son of former Ducks legend Haloti Ngata, one of the most dominant defensive linemen in program history.
Fielder shared his excitement on social media, calling the opportunity to play for Oregon a blessing and closing his announcement with a spirited “SCO DUCKS!!!!” That kind of energy is exactly what programs love to see from their future linemen - passion, pride, and a drive to be part of something bigger.
