Oregon Ducks' Kenyon Sadiq Poised for a Major 2026 NFL Combine Moment

Oregon Ducks' standout Kenyon Sadiq aims to impress scouts at the 2026 NFL Combine amidst high expectations and strategic decisions.

The NFL Combine is set to shine a spotlight on the cream of the crop in college football this week in Indianapolis. For many players, it's the ultimate job interview, but some have already made a name for themselves as top prospects, likely to be snapped up in the first round of the draft.

One standout is Oregon Ducks' tight end Kenyon Sadiq. After an impressive season where he emerged as arguably the nation's best tight end, Sadiq enters the 2026 NFL Draft as a projected first-round pick and the leading TE in his class. With such a strong reputation, Sadiq might take a cautious approach at Lucas Oil Stadium, yet NFL scouts are keenly watching his every move as the combine kicks off.

Sadiq is expected to impress, even if he opts out of full participation. Standing at 6-3 and weighing 245 pounds, he's a mismatch nightmare on the field.

Given his status as the top tight end, there’s little to gain and much to risk by competing against others in this setting. Holding off on showcasing his skills until his senior day could be a smart strategy.

However, if he does decide to participate, fans should be ready for a show. Last summer, Oregon coach Dan Lanning revealed that Sadiq hit a 41-inch vertical leap and reached speeds of 23 miles per hour.

While not quite at the level of prospects like Colston Loveland or Tyler Warren, Sadiq could still leave the combine as a highly appealing option for teams seeking a dynamic seam threat.

In 2025, Sadiq was a key player for Oregon, recording 51 catches for 560 yards and eight touchdowns. Heading into the draft, he's anticipated to be selected in the mid-to-late first round, likely between picks 12 and 20.

Tight ends will showcase their skills on Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium. You can catch all the action on NFL Network, starting at noon PT.
