Dillon Thieneman Stuns as Potential First Duck Pick in Latest Mock Draft

Dillon Thieneman emerges as Oregon's top draft prospect, challenging expectations in the latest PFF mock draft.

The 2025 season had many pegging Kenyon Sadiq as the first Oregon Duck to hear his name called in the upcoming NFL Draft. But a fresh mock draft from Pro Football Focus is shaking up those expectations.

In their latest three-round mock, Sadiq still finds himself in the first round, but it’s safety Dillon Thieneman who steals the spotlight, projected to go 26th overall to the Buffalo Bills, while Sadiq lands with the Denver Broncos at the 30th pick.

Buffalo's need for Thieneman is clear. With Cole Bishop already a staple in their secondary, the Bills are looking to bolster a safety unit that ranked 22nd in PFF's overall grades this season. Thieneman, who wrapped up his college career with an impressive 91.0 PFF grade and snagged two interceptions along with four pass breakups, seems like a perfect fit for Buffalo's defensive scheme.

Sadiq, once a potential top 10 pick, has seen his draft stock fluctuate. While he’s still a consensus first-rounder, there are whispers of concern over his consistency in 2025.

Yet, the Broncos could benefit immensely from his talents. Denver's tight ends struggled last season, posting a league-low 52.8 PFF receiving grade.

Sadiq, who led all FBS tight ends with eight touchdowns, might just be the offensive catalyst they need.

Joining them in draft discussions is offensive lineman Emmanuel Pregnon, predicted to go 39th overall to the Cleveland Browns as the second interior lineman off the board.

The Ducks are well-represented at the 2026 NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis, with nine players, including Thieneman, Sadiq, and Pregnon, receiving invites. The group also features running back Noah Whittington, wide receiver Malik Benson, offensive tackles Isaiah World and Alex Harkey, linebacker Bryce Boettcher, and defensive back Jadon Canady. It’s a testament to the depth of talent emerging from Oregon this year.
