Oregon didn’t just beat Portland State on Friday night. It detonated the scoreboard.
The No. 21 Ducks rolled to an 84-0 win over the Vikings at Autzen Stadium, the largest margin of victory ever in the building and a performance that reset the tone after last week’s historic 39-31 loss to Oklahoma State. By the time halftime arrived, Oregon was already up 49-0, and quarterback Dante Moore had done more than enough to claim MVP honors.
Moore played only the first half, but that was plenty. He went 19-of-23 for 280 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, finishing with an 82.6 percent completion rate and averaging 12.2 yards per attempt. He effectively put the game away in the opening quarter alone, when he completed 11 of 13 passes for 223 yards and two scores while Oregon raced to a 28-0 lead.
The Ducks were slicing through Portland State in every direction. Moore connected on long touchdown passes to Dakorien Moore for 45 yards and Evan Stewart for 39, and Oregon piled up seven plays of 20 or more yards in the first quarter. By the end of the period, the Ducks had already stacked up 278 yards and 12 first downs.
Running back Jordon Davison helped jump-start the avalanche with two first-quarter rushing touchdowns, finishing with 81 yards on the ground. Wide receiver Messiah Hampton added touchdown catches of 7 and 17 yards, while Stewart looked fully healthy after missing all of 2025 with knee issues. He finished with three receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown, and also drew a key pass interference penalty that set up Kendre Harrison’s 10-yard touchdown.
Harrison had a breakout night of his own, finishing with 53 yards and a touchdown before leaving for the locker room in the fourth quarter with an undisclosed injury.
Oregon kept pouring it on even after Moore sat out the entire second half. Nebraska transfer Dylan Raiola stepped in and delivered a sharp debut, going 11-for-11 for 124 yards and three touchdowns after throwing his first score as a Duck. He eventually gave way to third-string quarterback Akili Smith Jr.
In all, 10 Oregon players scored 12 touchdowns.
The defense got in on the fun, too. Freshman safety Jett Washington turned in a statement performance with two interceptions of Gabe Downing in the third quarter and a forced fumble, a strong coming-out party for the Las Vegas native.
Oregon’s 84 points set a new program single-game scoring record, topping the previous mark of 81 against Portland State in 2023. Portland State never managed to sack Moore, a notable turnaround for an Oregon offensive line that had allowed five sacks through the first two games.
The Ducks now turn quickly to a much tougher assignment in Week 4, when they travel to face No. 12 USC.
