Dan Lanning’s Oregon program keeps stacking NFL talent, and the latest 2027 draft rankings make it clear the Ducks are building something bigger than a one-year flash.
The East-West Shrine Bowl’s newly released top 1,000 for the 2027 NFL Draft includes 15 Oregon players, a strong sign that Eugene could be headed for another massive draft haul. Oregon’s program record is 10 players selected in a single draft, and this group has a real chance to push toward that mark.
That kind of depth starts with the headliners. Quarterback Dante Moore, center Iapani "Poncho" Laloulu, defensive linemen Bear Alexander, A'Mauri Washington, Teitum Tuioti and Matayo Uiagalelei were all viewed as players who could have entered the 2026 NFL Draft. Instead, they came back to Oregon, and the Ducks’ 2026 draft class was led by first-rounders Chicago Bears' Dillon Thieneman and New York Jets tight end Kenyon Sadiq.
Moore, in particular, has the kind of ceiling that can shape the entire conversation. Depending on how his final season goes in Eugene, he has a shot to go No. 1 overall in 2027.
The list also shows how broad the talent base has become under Lanning. Some names are already easy to project, like A'Mauri Washington and Iapani "Poncho" Laloulu, who are considered safe bets to hear their names called in the 2027 draft. Others are still more about upside and development, which is part of the point at Oregon now.
Transfers such as wide recevier Iverson Hooks and offensive lineman Michael Bennett III remain less proven. Safety Koi Perich is expected to help right away, but Oregon has also shown it can turn transfers and high school recruits into NFL-caliber players.
Tight end Jamari Johnson arrived from Louisville and is now expected to be one of the top tight ends selected in 2027. Offensive lineman Dave Iuli needed time, too, not really settling into his role until his redshirt junior season while working under offensive line coach A'lique Terry and the rest of the staff.
The Ducks’ linebacker group could be the next part of the roster to break out. Devon Jackson and Jerry Mixon have both been developed by Lanning and company, and each has a path to NFL success if they put together big seasons. Oregon’s defensive line is already a known strength because all four starting spots feature future NFL talent, but the linebackers could be the surprise group in 2026.
There’s more talent coming behind them as well. Wide receivers Jeremiah McClellan and Dakorien Moore are expected to contribute this fall, while five-star tight end Kendre Harrison and five-star safety Jett Washington have joined the program as true freshmen. Oregon also has five-star receiver Dakota Guerrant and five-star quarterback Will Mencl committed in the class of 2027.
Lanning’s blueprint is showing up everywhere on the roster: at the top of the draft board, in the middle of the lineup, and in the pipeline still on the way.
