It’s game week in Eugene, but Oregon’s weekend won’t be defined only by what happens between the lines against Boise State.
Dan Lanning and the Ducks are set to welcome a loaded group of recruiting visitors when they host Spencer Danielson’s Broncos on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Kickoff is 12:30 pm PT at Autzen Stadium, and the guest list stretches well beyond the current cycle. Oregon will have prospects from the 2027, 2028, and 2029 classes on campus, giving the staff a chance to make another strong impression on some of its biggest long-term targets.
One of the headliners is Louisville (Ky.) Christian Academy Top100 defensive lineman Kellan Hall.
The 6-4, 265-pound standout is rated by 247Sports as the No. 6 overall player in the 2028 class, the nation’s top defensive lineman, and the No. 1 player in Kentucky. Oregon is pushing hard here, even if this one won’t be easy to close.
Oklahoma appears to have the edge right now because of strong relationships, but the Ducks remain very much in the hunt. Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio State are also involved.
Another major visitor is Chandler (Ariz.) Basha Top100 edge rusher Landen Wade.
At 6-5 and 250 pounds, Wade checks in as the No. 23 player nationally, the No. 7 EDGE, and the No. 2 prospect in Arizona.
Oregon has been a serious factor with him from the start, and that hasn’t changed. The Ducks are one to watch closely, with Oklahoma, Washington, and California among the other schools tracking him.
Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic Top100 tight end Tytan McNeal is also expected in Eugene and sits high on Oregon’s board.
The 6-5, 230-pound 2028 recruit is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 41 player in the country, the top tight end, and the top prospect in Washington. Oregon is firmly in the mix, and the Ducks are considered serious contenders.
Texas, Michigan, Florida, Auburn, Washington, and Miami are also in the picture.
Oregon will also host Harper Woods (Mich.) High Top100 receiver Deandre Bidden, another 2028 prospect with real Ducks interest.
The 6-1, 170-pound wideout has gotten off to a strong early start with the staff, and Oregon’s position is helped by the fact that his good friend, five-star receiver Dakota Guerrant, is already committed in the 2027 class. Michigan will fight to keep him home, but Oregon is clearly a program to monitor here.
Another Washington standout heading to Eugene is Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic Top247 defensive lineman Aedyn Havili.
The 6-2, 320-pounder is a major target for the Ducks and is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 211 player nationally, No. 22 among defensive linemen, and No. 3 in his home state. Washington, Michigan, BYU, Notre Dame, SMU, and Ohio State are all in the mix, and Havili is scheduled to visit each of those schools this fall.
Waller (Texas) High three-star quarterback Tristin Gaines rounds out the list of notable 2028 visitors. The 6-1, 180-pound signal-caller is ranked as the No. 20 quarterback in the country by 247Sports and is said to be very high on Oregon. Other schools are involved, but the Ducks look like the team to beat if they decide to make him a priority.
Oregon’s committed class will be well represented too. Five-star receiver Dakota Guerrant, four-star cornerback Josiah Molden, three-star tight ends Anthony Cartwright III and George VanSandt, four-star offensive lineman Cameron Wagner, three-star offensive linemen Avery Michael and Gus Corsair, three-star receiver Malachi Garlington, and three-star edge rusher Josh Christensen are all expected on campus.

Boise State Could Catch Oregon At A Very Different Strength Than Expected

Dillon Gresham is still without a clear timetable after a neck injury, Brayden Platt is expected to be limited for some time after a spring injury, and Oregon is also managing the return of Evan Stewart and Trey McNutt from ailments suffered in 2025. Dave Iuli has been practicing and is expected to be available for the opener, which at least gives the Ducks some stability up front as the season approaches.

Oregon 5-Star Commit Is Already Recruiting Another Elite Edge
Oregons latest big recruiting win came with a built-in bonus. Defensive coordinator Chris Hampton and edge coach Kamran Araghi landed five-star edge rusher Rashad Streets out of Milbrook High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, beating out Alabama, Ohio State and NC State for one of the top defensive prospects in the 2027 class.
Rashad Streets is already helping the Ducks try to pry more elite talent away from the rest of the national field.
