Ole Miss has taken its preseason Heisman push to one of the biggest stages in the country.
In the early hours of Aug. 24, the Rebels posted a photo on X showing quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy on a Times Square billboard in New York City. The image is the latest step in Ole Miss’ campaign to spotlight both players ahead of the 2026 Heisman Trophy race.
The school started rolling out the effort in July, handing out yard signs, bumper stickers and buttons before moving the promotion into Times Square.
Chambliss enters the season as one of the early names to watch in the Heisman chase. Bet MGM lists him at +900, giving him the No. 3 odds in the country behind Texas quarterback Arch Manning and Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr, who are co-favorites at +750.
His rise has been fast. After transferring from Division II Ferris State, Chambliss broke out in 2025 and took over as Ole Miss’ starting quarterback in Week 3 following an injury to Austin Simmons. He went on to lead the Rebels to their first two College Football Playoff wins and finished the season with 3,937 passing yards and 30 total touchdowns.
Lacy’s path has been just as striking. He arrived at Ole Miss with 104 career rushing yards, then shattered the program’s single-season marks by rushing for 1,567 yards and scoring 24 rushing touchdowns in 2025. His Heisman odds sit at +12500.
Ole Miss opens the season Sept. 6 against Louisville at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
