Ole Miss is set for a sold-out Saturday night at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, but getting there won’t be business as usual.
The Rebels host Georgia in a 7:30 P.M. ET kickoff on ABC, and with the game drawing massive attention, fans heading to Oxford need to plan ahead. Construction at Jones Hall is changing the normal flow around campus, and OleMissSports.com laid out several traffic updates for anyone coming to the stadium or even traveling near it.
“With construction ongoing at Jones Hall, portions of Grove Loop will be closed to thru traffic on game days. Vehicles entering campus on University Avenue will not be able to turn right onto Grove Loop.
For pickups and drop-offs on the north side of The Grove, fans will enter campus via Jackson Ave. They will travel down Sorority Row, turn left into the pickup/dropoff zone along Grove Loop and then turn left onto Alumni Drive to leave campus via Gertrude Ford Blvd.
The pickup/dropoff zone on Grove Loop will operate in the same fashion as airports. Stops should be brief with no waiting for passengers and no unattended vehicles, and violators will be subject to towing.
University Avenue will remain open as a drop-off location until the road closes approximately four hours prior to kickoff due to pedestrian traffic. Loading and unloading is limited to 15 minutes.”
Those directions matter because the crowd is expected to be a big part of the night. Ole Miss will have more than 65,000 fans behind it, and the atmosphere in Oxford already proved its value a few weeks ago when the Rebels knocked off LSU.
Head coach Pete Golding and Ole Miss are looking for another one of those nights, this time against a Georgia team that arrives with plenty of weight on the line. The Rebels know the challenge is bigger than just quarterback Trinidad Chambliss. The defense and other parts of the team will need to hold up, too.
Still, the home crowd is part of the formula. Ole Miss will be counting on the noise, the pressure, and the energy that comes with a packed stadium. For the Rebels, this is the kind of setting they’ve been waiting for.
Fans who are headed to the game need to follow the traffic guidance closely and get to the stadium on time. Saturday night in Oxford is shaping up to be one of the biggest games on the college football calendar.

Ole Miss Just Got More Fuel For The Georgia Doubts
Bill Connellys latest SP+ forecast has added another layer to the buildup around Ole Miss matchup with Georgia, and it does so in a way Rebels fans will recognize: the numbers still lean toward the Bulldogs. ESPNs model, which weighs efficiency, explosiveness and overall performance while adjusting for opponent strength, projects No. 2 Georgia to win 32-23 in Week 10.
For Ole Miss, the prediction only sharpens the stakes of a game that already feels central to both the SEC race and the College Football Playoff picture. The Rebels have earned their place in the conversation at No. 10, but this is the kind of measuring-stick test that can either reinforce that standing or expose how much ground still has to be made up against the leagues elite. Ole Miss Georgia Showdown Just Got Bigger For Lane Kiffin
Ole Miss is getting ready for one of the biggest games on its schedule against Georgia, with SEC title-game implications hanging in the balance, and the matchup has taken on a little extra weight for Lane Kiffins program. Ahead of kickoff, the Rebels are also set to host five-star defensive end Asher Ghioto, a top-ranked Florida recruit who has been firmly on their radar as they keep pushing to strengthen the roster.
Ghiotos visit adds another layer to a weekend already loaded with significance for Ole Miss, especially with the staff working to make a strong impression in front of a premier defensive target. He has made it clear his commitment decision will be shaped by how programs respond to wins and losses, not just by the final score itself, which means what happens around this game could matter nearly as much as the result on the field. Georgia Faces A Massive Ole Miss Test With Playoff Pressure Rising
With College Football Playoff pressure building, Georgias trip to Ole Miss has the feel of a game that could shape the rest of the season for both teams. The Rebels have been tough at home, and the matchup brings together two teams with different strengths: Ole Miss leaning on quarterback Trinidad Chambliss to keep the offense on schedule, while Georgia arrives with one of the more balanced profiles in the country, especially on the ground.
Ole Miss will also have to sort through the status of running back Kewan Lacy, a factor that could matter in a game where every possession feels amplified. Georgias defense has been sturdy enough to make life difficult, but the Rebels have shown they can make opponents work in Oxford, which is why this one has the look of a tight, high-stakes finish rather than a comfortable afternoon for either side.
