Ole Miss Athletes Impress 38 NFL Scouts at Pro Day Showcase

Ole Miss Pro Day draws significant attention as standout athletes, including De'Zhaun Stribling and Kapena Gushiken, impress NFL scouts with remarkable performances.

In Oxford, Mississippi, the Manning Center buzzed with anticipation as 38 scouts and personnel from 30 NFL teams gathered for Ole Miss' Pro Day. Sixteen Rebels showcased their talents, each hoping to carve out a future in the NFL.

Among the standout performers was De'Zhaun Stribling. Known for his consistent presence on the field, Stribling started all 15 games in 2025. On Pro Day, he impressed with his agility in the shuttle and 3-cone run, complementing his earlier performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, where he clocked a blazing 4.36 in the 40-yard dash and leapt 10 feet, 7 inches in the broad jump.

Reflecting on his performance, Stribling shared, "Today was about proving my speed and agility. My time in Indianapolis opened eyes, but I always believed in my speed.

It was about showcasing it to everyone else." With 55 catches for 711 yards and six touchdowns in his final college season, Stribling's career totals stand at an impressive 216 receptions for 2,964 yards and 23 touchdowns over five seasons.

"Transferring to Ole Miss was pivotal," he added. "Playing in the SEC allowed me to elevate my game."

Dae'Quan Wright, another Rebel making waves, focused on position drills, having already posted solid numbers at the Combine. Wright, an honorable mention All-America and second-team All-SEC in 2025, ended the season with 36 receptions for 634 yards and four touchdowns.

"Being back in Oxford with my teammates was a blast," Wright said. "I've been focusing on my toughness and football IQ, ensuring I'm in peak condition.

Availability is key."

Kapena Gushiken seized his moment, posting the day’s fastest 40-yard dash at an unofficial 4.35. His athleticism shone through with a 41-inch vertical and an 11-foot broad jump.

Gushiken, who played in all 15 games in 2025, recording 55 tackles and five pass breakups, remarked, "Today was crucial. I wanted to hit specific numbers, but overall, I'm pleased.

This journey means everything to me."
