Peyton Blomquist is the Florida Gators fan who ended up owning part of Saturday’s spotlight against Ole Miss.
While Florida was busy pounding No. 4 Ole Miss, 52-28, at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, ABC’s broadcast kept cutting to the crowd in a packed Swamp.
One fan in particular kept popping up on screen, and that single shot quickly became the one everyone remembered. She didn’t know millions of viewers were about to see her, but by the end of the night she had become an instant star.
Now she has a name, and her Instagram has been found.
The attention has already spilled onto social media, where searches for her handle have surged along with Florida’s point total. A look at her Instagram shows her follower count has taken off since the broadcast moment. And unlike some viral crowd faces who try to disappear once the clip starts circulating, Blomquist is not hiding from the attention.
There’s more to her than the moment that made her famous on TV. Blomquist is a pre-med nutritional science student at the University of Florida. She’s also built a following as a TikTok content creator, with nearly 30,000 followers.
Her resume goes well beyond social media, too. She was the salutatorian of her high school class, served as the founding president of ChemClub, and was president of Biology and Medicine. She also worked as the social media chair of the Science National Honor Society and was a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, BETA, Debate Team, and English Honor Society.
