The Big 12 has locked in Oklahoma State’s Week 10 trip to Kansas State, and the Cowboys now know exactly when and where they’ll play.
Oklahoma State will face the Wildcats at noon Saturday in Manhattan, Kan., with TNT and HBO Max carrying the game. The matchup had been placed on a six-day selection hold last week, and with several other Big 12 games in the same spot, the conference has now finalized the full Week 10 schedule. Three game times were already set, including the “Holy War” between BYU and Utah, which will kick off at 11 a.m. central on Saturday.
The Cowboys enter the game at 5-3 overall and 3-2 in Big 12 play after a wild 51-49 loss to Iowa State on Saturday night in Ames, Iowa. It was the kind of back-and-forth shootout that felt straight out of the Big 12’s old playbook, with both defenses struggling to get stops and the lead changing late.
Oklahoma State had a one-point edge in the final minute before Iowa State, which had controlled much of the game, drove quickly down the field and won it with a field goal.
Drew Mestemaker threw for more 300 yards and a season-high five touchdowns, but he also had a costly interception late. Caleb Hakwins piled up more than 300 yards in total offense and scored twice on the ground and once as a receiver. Justin Bowick hauled in two touchdown catches, and Wyatt Young added the go-ahead touchdown before his 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty helped set up the Cyclones’ winning kick.
Oklahoma State has four games left, all in November. After the Kansas State game, the Cowboys will host Texas Tech on Nov. 14, visit Arizona State on Nov. 21 and close the regular season at home against Kansas on Nov.
- The Big 12 could announce the Texas Tech kickoff time and TV assignment on Monday, or it could send that game to another six-day selection hold.

Oklahoma State Scored 49 And Still Left Fans With One Big Fear
For much of the afternoon, Oklahoma State looked like it had enough offense to survive almost anything. Drew Mestemaker threw for 323 yards and five touchdowns, Caleb Hawkins piled up 275 yards of total offense with three scores, and the Cowboys kept answering Iowa State punch for punch in a game that turned into a track meet almost immediately.
But even with all that production, the finish left a familiar knot in the stomach. Iowa State kept hanging around behind Aiden Floras 221 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Jaylen Raynor accounted for four total touchdowns, and the Cowboys were still left chasing in the final seconds of a 51-49 loss that showed just how thin the margin can be when the defense cannot get one last stop. Drew Mestemaker said Young was beating himself up afterward, a sign of how much the ending stung inside the room. In a game decided by inches and emotions, the Cowboys were left sorting through a painful last-minute sequence and the aftermath that followed, with players reflecting on both the outcome and the moments that shaped it.
