Oklahoma State’s first depth chart of the 2026 season is out, and it already answers a few of the biggest questions heading into Saturday’s opener at Tulsa.
The Cowboys will kick off the Morris era at 2:45 p.m. on ESPNU, with OSU looking to flip the script after Tulsa beat the Cowboys 19-12 in Stillwater last season.
One of the clearest battles showed up at receiver, where Wyatt Young is not the lone starter at Y. Instead, he is listed in an “or” with junior Miles Coleman.
Both arrived from North Texas this offseason, bringing different profiles to the room. Young, a 6-foot, 199-pound target, led UNT last season with 70 catches for 1,264 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Coleman, at 5-foot-6 and 158 pounds, hauled in 47 passes for 550 yards and two scores.
The secondary also got a few shape-up answers. Redshirt sophomore LaDainian Fields, who started OSU’s final six games of 2025 and tied for the team lead with two interceptions, is listed as an “or” starter at corner with fellow redshirt sophomore Kobi Foreman. That still leaves plenty of traffic in the cornerback room, where Vanderbilt transfer Trudell Berry, Texas Tech transfer Mo Horn and UNT transfer Kollin Lewis are all sharing a spot on the depth chart.
Elsewhere in the defensive backfield, senior Evan Jackson is listed as the starting free safety ahead of Markeith Williams. Junior Quinton Hammonds is the top strong safety over senior Mose Phillips III. At nickel, Liberty transfer Christian Bodnar earned the starting nod over returning redshirt senior Cameron Epps.
Behind quarterback Drew Mestemaker, the backup situation remains unsettled. Grant Jordan, a redshirt senior with game experience across 18 contests over six seasons at Yale and UMass, is listed in an “or” with freshman Broderick Vehrs, who enrolled at OSU in the spring and is from Gilbert, Arizona.
