Kansas City, Mo. - Despite missing the last three games of the regular season due to a knee injury, the 6-foot-10 senior from Amol, Iran, still made a splash by earning honorable mention All-Big 12 honors on Monday. This recognition came from the ballots of the league's 16 head coaches, who weren't allowed to vote for their own players.
Fallah, a key player for the Cowboys, started 26 games and averaged 14.7 points along with a team-leading 6.0 rebounds. His ability to hit the 20-point mark in seven games and record three double-doubles showcased his consistency and impact on the court.
His shooting prowess was notable, with a .598 shooting percentage that ranks second in the conference and among the top 25 nationally. This season stands out in OSU history for its efficiency, as Fallah ranks fourth on the school's single-season field goal percentage chart for players averaging at least 5.0 field goals per game. He also holds second place in both effective field goal percentage (.623) and two-point percentage (.627).
One of Fallah's standout moments came against TCU, where he forced overtime by putting back a missed three-pointer at the buzzer. Unfortunately, his season was cut short less than two weeks later during an overtime win against West Virginia, where he injured his knee on a dunk in the final seconds.
Before his senior season at OSU, Fallah played two years at Southern Utah and one at Oregon State, amassing a total of 1,226 points and 500 rebounds. Last year, he earned second-team All-West Coast Conference honors with the Beavers, further cementing his status as a formidable player throughout his college career.
