Bedlam basketball is headed back to Oklahoma City, and this year’s edition comes as a doubleheader at the Paycom Center on Dec. 12.
Oklahoma State and Oklahoma made the announcement, with OSU saying presale tickets will be available Monday at 10 a.m. POSSE members will get priority access to premium seat locations, and OSU students will have a special discount.
Tickets for the general public go on sale Aug. 7.
The men’s game will carry a little extra weight in the series ledger: it will be the 100th straight season the two programs have met, the 252nd meeting overall, and the third consecutive year the matchup has been played in Oklahoma City. On the women’s side, it will be the 118th meeting between the teams. It’s also the second straight year both games have been staged as a doubleheader.
The start time and television details are still to come.
Last season, Oklahoma took the men’s matchup 85-76, while the Cowgirls fell 92-70 in the women’s game.
Both programs enter this stretch with plenty of roster movement. Oklahoma State’s men landed one of the nation’s top recruiting classes, highlighted by McDonald’s All-American forward Latrell Allmond out of Petersburg High School in Virginia. Steve Lutz also added help through the transfer portal, including former UCF standout Jordan Burks, as he tries to push the Cowboys back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021.
On the women’s side, Jacie Hoyt reshaped nearly the entire roster and brought in the No. 1 transfer class in the country, led by former Iowa State all-American center Audi Crooks. The Cowgirls are aiming to win the Big 12 and get beyond the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament, something they have not done under Hoyt.
The Bedlam Series itself dates to 1999-2000, with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma meeting across their shared sports and the winner of the most head-to-head matchups taking the series. OSU leads the all-time series 15-11.
The 2025-26 Bedlam Series was decided in emphatic fashion, with the Cowboys and Cowgirls winning by the most lopsided margin in series history, 18-5-1. The schools met in every sport they both sponsor except football, and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State last faced off in 2023, when the Cowboys won. That matchup closed the book on a series that had stretched to 110 meetings since the first one in 1914.
