The Oklahoma Sooners are once again making waves in the recruiting world, this time with their pursuit of four-star offensive tackle Koehn Dial. Dial recently announced his top six college choices, which include Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee, LSU, and Vanderbilt. This announcement follows closely on the heels of the Sooners hosting R’Monie Edwards, the top-ranked offensive tackle for the 2028 class.
Dial, who is currently wrapping up his sophomore year at Battle Ground Academy in Tennessee, is already turning heads with his imposing 6-foot-8, 294-pound frame. Ranked as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the 2028 class by Rivals, Dial is also the seventh-best player in Tennessee. His impressive list of offers initially included schools like Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss, UCF, and SMU, before he narrowed it down.
The recruiting battle for Dial seems to be heating up, especially between Oklahoma and Georgia. Georgia extended their offer about a year before Oklahoma, which has given them a slight edge in the predictions, with a 46.1% confidence level from Rivals compared to Oklahoma’s 40.3%. However, with plenty of time left in the recruiting process, anything can happen.
Oklahoma’s aggressive recruitment of Dial and Edwards signals their intent to build another formidable offensive line class for 2028, potentially rivaling their top-ranked 2027 class. That class features 20 commitments, highlighted by standout offensive linemen like five-star tackles Cooper Hackett and Kaeden Penny, along with three-star talents Isaac Coughran, Luke Wilson, and Tyson Ross.
For Sooners fans, the prospect of landing Dial adds to the excitement of what could be another powerhouse recruiting haul, setting the stage for future dominance in the trenches.
