Oklahoma’s offensive line could be short on bodies again Saturday when the Sooners meet No. 15 Kentucky in Norman.
The biggest shift on Thursday’s SEC availability report was the move of Eddy Pierre-Louis from questionable to doubtful. Parker Livingstone got the same treatment. Pierre-Louis, a third-year offensive guard, first popped up on last week’s initial report as questionable, slid to doubtful later in the week and then ended up missing the Red River Rivalry.
Livingstone did suit up against his former team and played 29 snaps on Saturday, but he did not record a catch. The report did not specify when or how he was injured.
There is still uncertainty around several other key OU players. Michael Fasusi and Eli Bowen remain questionable, just as they were on Wednesday.
Fasusi, a former 5-star recruit, has not played since the Sooners’ opener against UTEP, when he logged only 17 snaps before aggravating his shoulder. The 6-foot-5, 319-pound tackle started 10 of 11 games as a true freshman in 2025.
Bowen was active for last week’s game against Texas, but Trystan Haynes got the start in his place. Through 2026, the junior defensive back has 12 tackles and two pass breakups.
Two more offensive linemen, Heath Ozaeta and Fred Hinton, are also listed as questionable. Ozaeta picked up an undisclosed injury during warmups at the Cotton Bowl, but he played through it and still got 59 offensive snaps against Texas. Hinton, an Eastern Kentucky transfer, has not been on the field since the UTEP game and was ruled out before last week’s matchup with the Longhorns.
There is slightly better news on the injury front for running back Tory Blaylock and tight end Jack Van Dorselaer, both of whom stayed probable on Thursday. Blaylock made an early impact against Texas before exiting that game.
As a true freshman in 2025, he led Oklahoma with 480 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns. Van Dorselaer, who transferred from Tennessee before the season, also sat out the Texas game and has not caught a pass since arriving in Norman, though he has been used frequently as a blocker.
Oklahoma already has five players ruled out for the Kentucky game: running back Xavier Robinson, wide receiver Trell Harris, tight end Trynae Washington, linebacker Taylor Heim and defensive back Jacobe Johnson.
Kentucky’s report brought one notable change, with defensive end Tyler Thomas going from doubtful to out. Running back CJ Baxter, a Texas transfer who ranks fifth in the SEC with 484 rushing yards, remains questionable.
Former Oklahoma wide receiver Nic Anderson is probable to play for Kentucky against his old team. In his first season with the Wildcats, Anderson has 12 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown.

Oklahoma Just Sent A Strong Message About Brent Venables Future
Brent Venables place at Oklahoma just got a lot clearer, and a lot more expensive for anyone thinking about making a change. The Sooners coach now has an extension that was approved by the Board of Regents after he led Oklahoma back to the College Football Playoff, a move that signals the program is ready to keep building around him rather than treat last season as a one-off breakthrough.
The financial terms leave little doubt about how strongly Oklahoma is tying itself to Venables, with a buyout that would cost $51.67 million if he were terminated after the 2026 season and then drops each year through 2031. Athletic director Roger Denny, who took over in February, helped guide the contract process, and the structure suggests the Sooners wanted stability, not a short-term reset, as they look ahead under Venables. Oklahoma Has A Chance To Change Its Season Again Vs Kentucky
Oklahomas season has already lived through a few different versions of itself, and now comes another fork in the road with No. 15 Kentucky coming to town. The Sooners are unranked but favored by 6.5 points, which says plenty about how this matchup is being framed: not as a rescue mission, but as a chance to turn a good win into something bigger. John Mateer and Lloyd Avant are central to that equation, because Oklahoma will need enough production on offense to make Kentuckys defense feel the weight of the night.
A win here would not just add another quality result to the rsum. It could push Oklahoma back into the national conversation and make the College Football Playoff picture a little more realistic than it looked not long ago. Kentucky has already shown enough on defense to make this more than a simple home favorite spot, and that is what gives the game its edge for the Sooners. They have an opening to change the story again, but only if they take advantage of it against a ranked opponent that will make them earn every bit of it. [Read more 🡒]
Florida Just Seized Major Momentum In A Crowded 2027 Recruiting Race
A major 2027 recruiting shift rippled through the class on October 11 when Easton Royal, one of the top wide receiver prospects in the cycle, flipped his commitment from Texas to Florida. The move immediately altered the national picture, with Texas sliding from No. 6 to No. 9 in the Rivals recruiting rankings and Florida climbing from No. 8 to No. 5 as the early race keeps tightening.
For Oklahoma fans watching the broader SEC recruiting churn, it is another reminder that these rankings are still very much in flux. Rivals lists the board as provisional, and with more commitments and evaluations still ahead, the next wave of movement could be just as dramatic as this one. [Read more 🡒]
