Ohio State and Texas are meeting again, and this time the showdown moves to Austin.
The Longhorns will host the Buckeyes on Saturday, Sept. 12, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Tickets are already on sale through StubHub, where prices begin at $550. Lower bowl seats start at $800, and club sections are listed at $1,500 or more.
These two teams have already traded blows recently. Ohio State knocked off Texas in the 2024 CFP semifinals on the way to a national title, then beat the Longhorns again in Columbus. Now they meet for the third time, with both programs still sitting near the top of the sport and both expected to have returning quarterbacks.
For one week, though, it’s about more than the bigger picture. This is a tone-setting game, and it arrives early in the season.
Texas’ 2026 schedule opens Sept. 5 against Texas State before the Ohio State game the following week. The Longhorns also have UTSA on Sept. 19, then head to Tennessee on Sept.
