Ohio State QB Julian Sayin Makes Special Visit After Beating Michigan

Fresh off a rivalry win, Ohio State's Julian Sayin traded touchdowns for tender moments during a heartfelt visit to Nationwide Childrens Hospital.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Just days after leading Ohio State to a statement win over Michigan in Ann Arbor, quarterback Julian Sayin took his talents off the field and into the community - making a heartfelt visit to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The Heisman Trophy contender spent time with young patients, handing out headphones, Buckeyes gear, and gift cards - but more importantly, he brought the kind of energy that doesn’t show up on stat sheets. Sayin lit up the hospital hallways with smiles, laughter, and a presence that clearly meant as much to him as it did to the kids.

“It was awesome to see all those kids and be a moment of their day,” Sayin said. “It was awesome to see them.”

This wasn’t just a feel-good photo op for Sayin. His connection to the hospital experience runs deep.

At just 10 months old, he suffered third-degree burns on his back and underwent treatment at a burn center in San Diego. That memory - and the care he received - stuck with him.

“I had third-degree burns on my back and had to get some care from the hospital in San Diego. I am extremely grateful for them,” Sayin shared. “Being able to go to the Burn Center was awesome.”

During his visit, Sayin also made sure to show appreciation for the hospital staff, surprising them with donuts and taking time to chat, pose for photos, and thank them for the work they do every day.

For a player whose name has been front and center in the Heisman conversation, it’s moments like these that remind us there’s more to leadership than what happens between the lines. Sayin’s visit wasn’t just about giving back - it was about connecting, remembering, and using his platform to lift others up.

And after a rivalry win that will be talked about for years, Sayin’s off-the-field actions this week may be just as memorable - for the kids he met, the staff he thanked, and the example he continues to set.
