Ohio State's winter workouts have wrapped up, and four standout athletes have earned the prestigious title of "Iron Buckeyes." This year, Jeremiah Smith, Brandon Inniss, Jaylen McClain, and Garrett Stover have been recognized for their exceptional dedication and performance. Notably, Smith and Inniss are repeat honorees, having received this accolade for the second consecutive year.
While it might be surprising not to see Austin Siereveld among this year's honorees, especially after his recognition last year, there's a good reason. According to a former Ohio State player, Siereveld was dealing with some post-season injuries.
"Austin was banged up and couldn't participate fully like before," he explained. "But make no mistake, no one works harder than Austin, JJ, and Brandon.
They're role models for the younger players."
The former player also emphasized the impact of Smith's work ethic on the team. "When your best player is putting in that kind of effort, it sets the tone.
JJ doesn't need to push himself to be great, but he does because he aims to be the best ever. It's a powerful message for the whole team."

"With experience under his belt, he's set to impress this year. Being named an Iron Buckeye is a great indicator of his potential."
Garrett Stover's recognition might have raised some eyebrows, but his athleticism is undeniable. "He's not just one of the fastest linebackers; he's one of the fastest on the entire team. Expect him to make a significant impact on special teams this year."
