Ohio State Grants Stripes To Two Key Transfers

Two key transfers, safety Earl Little Jr. and wide receiver Kyle Parker, earn their stripes at Ohio State, solidifying their roles in the team's promising future.

Ohio State is making waves this offseason with a record-breaking 17 transfers, setting the stage for an exciting 2026 season. Among these newcomers, safety Earl Little Jr. and wide receiver Kyle Parker are already turning heads and are expected to make significant contributions.

Both players officially became part of the Buckeye family after Saturday’s practice, shedding their black stripes-a tradition that signifies their full integration into the team. This custom, initiated by Urban Meyer in 2012 and carried on by Ryan Day, symbolizes a player's readiness to represent Ohio State.

Earl Little Jr., a standout safety, transferred from Florida State, bringing with him an impressive track record. Originally from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Little began his college career at Alabama.

During his time with the Seminoles in 2025, he led the team with 76 tackles and four interceptions, earning second-team All-ACC honors. His playmaking ability was evident, making him a formidable presence on the field.

C.J. Barnett, the director of player development, praised Little’s impact, saying, "This man's on demon time when he's on the field.

He's a problem for any offense." Little expressed gratitude for joining the Buckeyes, acknowledging the support of his teammates and coaches.

On the offensive side, Kyle Parker, a dynamic wide receiver from Lucas, Texas, made his mark after transferring from LSU. Despite battling injuries, Parker finished his time at LSU with career-highs, including 31 receptions for 330 yards and four touchdowns. His speed and physicality make him a valuable asset to Ohio State's receiving corps.

Barnett highlighted Parker’s skills, stating, "This guy's quick, fast, physical, and explosive. When the ball's in the air, you know it's his." Parker thanked his teammates and coaches for their support, emphasizing the camaraderie and competitive spirit that drives the team.

With these talented additions, Ohio State is gearing up for a promising season, and fans have every reason to be excited about what lies ahead.
