The Tar Heels responded on court two, as Chris Xu and Niels Ratiu battled back from a break to secure their own 7-5 win. The doubles point was ultimately decided on court three, where Clemson's Matisse Farzam and Yannic Nittmann clinched it with a nail-biting 7-6 (5) victory over Ian Mayew and Logan Zapp.

Carolina's singles lineup was ready to turn the tide. Niels Ratiu, making his first singles appearance since early February, dominated with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Marko Mesarovic on court five, leveling the team score. Constantinos Djakouris quickly followed suit with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 victory over Henrik Bladelius on court four, giving the Tar Heels a 2-1 lead.
