OBJ Damages Giants Legacy With Shocking Rant

Odell Beckham Jr.'s unexpected release from the Giants has sparked a social media response, as he reflects on the missed opportunity and considers his next move in the NFL.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s return to the Giants ended almost as soon as it began, and the veteran receiver made it clear on Sunday that the way it went down sat badly with him.

Beckham had signed with New York in June and eventually made the roster in August, a move that briefly seemed to give him a chance to contribute as a target for Jaxson Dart. But after Dart’s injury, the situation shifted fast for the Giants, and Beckham was cut after Week 3 without catching a pass.

The Giants moved on from him on Sept. 29, releasing Beckham to make room for Braxton Berrios on the active roster. In three games, Beckham played only 19 snaps and drew one target, leaving him with little opportunity to make a real imprint in his second stint with the team that drafted him.

John Harbaugh explained the decision this way, per ESPN: "Had a great conversation with Odell and it's tough," John Harbaugh said of the move, per ESPN." But we just weren't getting enough.

It just wasn't working for us. And like I told him, I wanted to be able to get more.

I wanted him to be able to do more. I wanted to get him on the field more.

"Whatever reason, we weren't able to do it. Put it on us.

We weren't able to get it done. At this point in time, that's kind of where we were and we needed to move on."

Beckham stayed quiet publicly until Sunday, when he used Instagram comments to air his frustration. He said he "didn't see this one," that "they got me," and that "they won." He also said he came in "humbly" on a minimum contract and "earned" his spot, but that he "shoulda known better."

"What hurt my heart to the core is comin home and seeing my son and how happy he was with no idea of what happened," Beckham wrote. "Idk why they even gave me the run along."

"I coulda really been playing this year somewhere and making an impact."

Beckham also told Josina Anderson by text when he was released, and later added that "one door closes and another opens."

For now, he’s back on the open market, and it remains unclear whether another NFL opportunity will come his way this season.

Cam Schlittlers Brutal Reaction Says Everything About These Yankees

Cam Schlittler gave the Yankees exactly the kind of performance that usually buys a win in October, working eight innings and allowing just one run with eight strikeouts even as the defense behind him wobbled throughout the afternoon. Tampa Bay still walked away with a 5-2 victory to grab a 2-0 lead in the American League Division Series, a game that quickly became less about the scoreboard and more about how New York failed to support one of its best outings of the season.

Afterward, Schlittler took the loss on himself and was blunt about the clubs overall performance, a reaction that reflected how frustrating this series has become for the Yankees. Aaron Boone pointed to the defensive issues while still praising Schlittler for keeping the game within reach, but the bigger concern now is obvious: New York has run out of room for mistakes, and the tone coming out of the clubhouse suggests the players know it. Aaron Boone Just Made Yankees Fans Even More Furious

With the Yankees trying to steady themselves before their playoff series against the Rays, Aaron Boone found himself answering for a defensive group that has given fans plenty to grumble about. The manager addressed Trent Grishams defense and said there is room for improvement, but he pushed back on the idea that this is a bad defensive team even after the club piled up errors.

The concern is hard to wave away when the mistakes are happening on the October stage, and Game 2 of the Division Series only deepened the frustration. New York committed multiple errors in that game, including a franchise first with three errors in a single playoff inning, leaving Boone to defend a unit that has become an increasingly uncomfortable talking point at exactly the wrong time. Luis Garca Jr.'s Next Yankees Decision Could Change How He's Viewed

The Yankees trade deadline swap for Luis Garca Jr. gave them another left-handed bat and a player with some versatility, even if most of his work since arriving has come at first base. Aaron Boone has already floated the possibility of moving Garca back to second base down the road, which would give the club another option as it tries to juggle a roster that could be shaped by Giancarlo Stantons contract status and Jazz Chisholm Jr.s defensive fit.

It is a notable idea because Garcas old position is also the one where he has had trouble before, and the Yankees know any move there would be about more than simply finding an open glove. If Garca can handle second again, it would change the way the organization views him and add a layer of flexibility Boone values, but for now it remains one of the quieter offseason questions hanging over a roster that is still being sorted out.
