Kylie Jenner says her Knicks fandom started the way a lot of real ones do: with one game that changed everything.
On the “Better Half with Stas and Vic” podcast, Jenner said she used to be mostly indifferent to sports. That changed when she went to her first Knicks game in New York and felt the building around her.
“No, I never, no, never was into it unless it was like someone was married or dating someone, and then I would watch it. But no, I was never really into it. Sometimes for the finals, like I would watch.”
“It wasn’t until I went to my first Knicks game that I fell in love,” Kylie Jenner said.
“Like there’s something about the energy in the stadium and MSG and being there, and it was so much fun, and I just, and then I followed them for, you know, those two seasons for them and then to win. I mean, I’m like the luckiest Knicks fan cuz I feel like I am a new NYX fan, you know, and I got to see them win.
Yeah. So, it was really special and so fun.”
Her interest didn’t stop with the games she attended alongside boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, who has long been known as a Knicks superfan. The hosts brought up a memory of Jenner staying up until 7:00 AM in Sardinia to watch the NBA Finals, a sign that her attachment had become its own thing.
Jenner was also one of several celebrities around the Knicks during their 2026 NBA playoff run, and that kind of visibility comes with a price. Famous faces get watched almost as closely as the action on the floor, and their reactions can become a story of their own.

“Ariel [her makeup artist] is hating on my outfits right now cuz I always want to wear a tank top… I saw an old photo of me from the last year, the year before this. And I feel like my outfits were a little cuter.
It’s fine. I just feel like maybe I put on a little more effort.”
“A lot of the games were more comfort. Like I wore this big t-shirt and jeans, and Ariel and I got home, and he was like, I hated that.
I’m like, well, guess what? It wasn’t about that… Ariel’s like I hated this outfit you wore.
I go, “It’s fine,” Kylie Jenner added.
She said the biggest issue is simply trying to stay comfortable while sitting in public with cameras and bright lights everywhere.
“When you have a big a-… When you have a big fat juicy a- and you’re sitting down, and you’re wearing like a little crop top. It’s just like my a- crack is always just, when it’s tight, when it’s up, when I’m sitting, it’s like just in the back. So I’m like, “Oh my god, my ass is just always out.”
“So I always have to bring a jacket or something so I can enjoy the game and not worry if you know I’m naked. And I wanted to wear a big tee, not think about it, and just enjoy,” Jenner concluded.
She and Chalamet were also seen at a Knicks game in matching Chrome Hearts.
Jenner said she’s spent the last three years building out a section of her closet specifically for orange-and-blue Knicks looks, a sign that this is no passing phase. Her first game at Madison Square Garden clearly left a mark, and she’s leaned all the way into it ever since.
