As the New York Knicks gear up for their clash against the Houston Rockets, they've released an injury report that could impact tonight's matchup at Madison Square Garden. The game, set for an 8:30 p.m. ET tipoff on ABC, sees the Knicks (35-21) hosting the Rockets (34-20) in what promises to be a thrilling encounter between two of the league's top teams.
The injury report lists Miles McBride as officially out. The 25-year-old guard is still recovering from pelvic-related core muscle surgery.
McBride last hit the court during the Knicks' 103-87 victory over the Sacramento Kings on January 27, where he posted nine points, four assists, two rebounds, and two steals. Before his surgery, McBride was having a breakout season, averaging 12.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game, shooting an impressive 43.4 percent from the field and 42 percent from beyond the arc.
Additionally, the Knicks have several players marked as questionable, primarily due to G League assignments and two-way contracts. This includes Pacome Dadiet, Trey Jemison III, Dillon Jones, Tyler Kolek, and Kevin McCullar Jr.
Tyler Kolek, a key player on assignment, last played in New York's commanding 138-89 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on February 11. In that game, he contributed three points, three assists, and two rebounds in 10 minutes of action. This season, Kolek is averaging 4.9 points, 2.9 assists, and 1.9 rebounds, shooting 42.3 percent from the field and 36.4 percent from three-point range.
The Knicks are looking to bounce back after a tough 126-111 loss to the Detroit Pistons, who currently lead the league with a 41-13 record. Following tonight's game, the Knicks will embark on a three-game road trip, starting with a matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET.
With both teams closely matched in the standings, tonight's showdown is more than just a regular-season game; it's a pivotal moment for two squads aiming to solidify their positions in their respective conferences.
