Jalen Brunsons Knicks Comic Has Fans Watching One Huge Exclusive

Discover how Knicks' champion Jalen Brunson and Spider-Man unite for a special comic release at New York Comic Con, offering fans a unique piece of sports and superhero history.

Jalen Brunson’s star turn in New York has spilled off the court and onto a comic book cover.

The Knicks guard is featured on a limited-edition variant of Amazing Spider-Man #1001, and the book is being distributed through Whatnot at New York Comic Con. The comic is available at the Javits Center through October 11, and Brunson appears on the cover with a lineup of familiar Marvel names, according to a post by Knicks Fan TV. Spider-Man, Iron-Man and Storm are all part of the artwork.

The cover also leans hard into the Knicks’ championship moment, with a Madison Square Garden billboard declaring the team the 2025-26 NBA champions. The comic itself can only be obtained through the Whatnot Liveplex activation at the convention.

There is also some buzz that Brunson could show up at the event and sign copies, though nothing has been confirmed in the source material. His comic is one piece of Whatnot’s larger convention-only rollout, with the release tied directly to New York Comic Con and access to Whatnot’s event programming serving as the main path to getting it.

Whatnot’s lineup stretches well beyond Brunson and Marvel. The company is also unveiling event-exclusive items tied to Marvel, Formula One, hip-hop culture and collectibles, including Iron Man: Race Towards Doom #1, Heavy is the Crown #1, Dungeon Crawler Carl #1, and a slate of limited-edition figures and posters.

Among the other convention releases, Iron Man: Race Towards Doom #1 features the Atlassian Williams Formula 1 team and is also exclusive to the event. Heavy is the Crown #1 is a new Marvel comic created with Anderson .

Paak and Cordae for Mass Appeal. The rest of the lineup includes limited-edition variants like Dungeon Crawler Carl #1, Absolute Batman #24 and Legend Has It Vol. 2, plus a Busta Rhymes and J Dilla-inspired Incredible Hulk #1 homage, Marvel Hip Hop variant covers curated by Rob Markman, and collectibles such as a Mets-themed Randy Savage figure, a Whatnot x NYCC Bloo release and Godzilla blind-bag variants.

The activation also teased a collaboration involving Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends.

Bruce Brown Just Put The Knicks Roster Squeeze Into Focus

Bruce Browns path back onto an NBA roster has landed him in an especially tricky spot, with just two weeks left before the regular season. After playing all 82 games for the Nuggets last season, he did not draw the kind of free-agent interest a player of his caliber might once have expected, and he ended up signing an Exhibit-9 contract with the Knicks as he tries to work his way into their plans.

Browns situation also says plenty about the leagues new financial reality for middle-tier veterans. He has already spoken about how the current collective bargaining agreement makes life harder for players in that range, and for the Knicks it adds another layer of complication as they weigh a player who can help but comes with roster and cap considerations still very much in play. Mike Brown Just Gave Knicks Fans Another Championship-Era Moment

A new off-court clip gave Knicks fans a little more of the championship-era vibe they have been soaking in lately. Video from a recent charity event showed Mike Brown in a loose, celebratory mood, a reminder that the coach who has already delivered a title in New York is also quickly becoming part of the citys broader winners club.

Mike Brown was joined in the moment by former Giants coach Tom Coughlin, whose own resume is built on two Super Bowl runs, and the scene fit the kind of crossover New York sports fans tend to love. With Brown fresh off a season that brought the NBA Cup and NBA Finals to the Knicks, even a goofy singalong carried a little extra weight as the franchise keeps living in a place it has not occupied in a long time. Andre Drummond Is Forcing The Knicks To Revisit One Bench Role

Andre Drummond got an early look in the Knicks preseason opener, and even in a limited role he offered a reminder of why he is in the conversation at all. The veteran center brought the kind of presence New York can use in a reserve spot, mixing in screening, rebounding and interior defense rather than trying to do too much on offense.

For a team still sorting out the back end of its rotation, the bigger question is how that fit holds up as the competition gets a little more revealing. The Knicks will keep evaluating Drummond alongside other centers such as James Wiseman, with the real emphasis on whether his defensive value travels once the preseason tests get more varied.
