Legwold noted, "When it comes to who the best prospect in the 2026 class is, regardless of position, that honor, based on our pooling, goes to Reese."
Reese is a compelling player, boasting remarkable athleticism and the versatility to excel as both an edge rusher and an off-ball linebacker. This makes the Ohio State defender one of the premier talents in this year's draft.
Many mock drafts have linked the Jets to Reese at the second overall spot. With half of the polled executives and scouts naming Reese as the top prospect, it's no surprise he's strongly connected to the Jets' plans.
With the Raiders seemingly locked in on Mendoza as their top choice, the Jets have a prime opportunity to land Reese with their second pick.
