Bills
In Buffalo, it seems quarterback Josh Allen isn’t just leading on the field. Center Connor McGovern revealed that Allen played a pivotal role in McGovern's re-signing with the team. Initially, the Bills were set to let McGovern test the waters of free agency, but Allen, affectionately referred to as "our good friend No. 17," stepped in to ensure McGovern stayed put.
Meanwhile, the Bills were also eyeing Broncos fullback Adam Prentice. According to Chris Tomasson, Buffalo extended an offer to Prentice, but he ultimately chose to remain in Denver.
Jets
Over in New York, the Jets have been busy reshaping their roster and coaching staff. Back in January, they interviewed former Ravens defensive coordinator Wink Martindale for a similar role.
Martindale felt he was close to landing the job, but the decision slipped through his fingers. The Jets ultimately appointed Brian Duker.
Martindale expressed admiration for Aaron Glenn, highlighting their shared defensive philosophies, but acknowledged the decision was beyond his control.
Defensive tackle David Onyemata, a recent Jets acquisition, credited head coach Aaron Glenn as a major influence in his decision to join the team. Onyemata praised Glenn’s character and coaching prowess, making his choice to come to New York an easy one.
Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, another new face for the Jets, is eager to reprise his nickel role from his time with the Dolphins in 2025, adding versatility to the Jets' secondary.
Quarterback Geno Smith, returning to the Jets, expressed his excitement about rejoining the team. He worked closely with Las Vegas to facilitate the move, citing his appreciation for coach Glenn and the opportunity to weigh his options before making the decision. Reflecting on his growth since his first stint with the Jets, Smith noted, "Experience is going to be your best professor."
Ravens
The Ravens have been active in scouting talent, conducting formal Combine interviews with several prospects. Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston, Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson, LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane, and Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood all met with the Ravens during the Combine.
Additionally, Georgia offensive lineman Micah Morris confirmed he met with the Ravens, showcasing Baltimore's interest in bolstering their offensive line.
Ravens offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford was spotted at Kentucky’s pro day, keeping a close eye on center Jager Burton, along with guards Jalen Farmer and Josh Braun. Baltimore’s strong connection to Burton suggests he’s firmly on their radar.
