Titans Add Giants Coaches After Brian Daboll Lands Key Role

Brian Dabolls move to Tennessee signals a new chapter for the Titans-and a reshuffling for the Giants-as key assistants follow him to Nashville.

Brian Daboll is back in the NFL - and he’s not coming alone.

The former New York Giants head coach has landed in Tennessee as the Titans’ new offensive coordinator, and he’s already bringing some familiar faces with him to Nashville. Daboll’s reunion tour includes a pair of key offensive assistants from his time with the Giants: quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney and offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo.

Tierney, who worked closely with Daboll in New York, is stepping into the same role with the Titans under new head coach Robert Saleh. It’s a notable move, especially considering Tierney’s track record with a rotating cast of quarterbacks in New York.

From Daniel Jones to Tommy DeVito, and even a brief stint with Russell Wilson, Tierney has navigated his share of QB challenges. Now, he’ll be tasked with developing Cam Ward - a promising but unproven talent who could be the centerpiece of Tennessee’s next chapter.

Bricillo, meanwhile, is expected to take over the offensive line in Tennessee. He joined the Giants in 2024 and spent two seasons trying to stabilize a line that, at times, struggled to protect its quarterbacks and open up the run game. His move to the Titans suggests Daboll is prioritizing continuity and trust as he builds out his new offensive staff.

For Daboll, this isn’t just about familiarity - it’s about installing a system with coaches who already speak his language. Tierney and Bricillo understand the structure, the terminology, and the demands of Daboll’s offense. That kind of cohesion can accelerate the learning curve for a team that’s looking to retool quickly.

Back in New York, the Giants are entering a new era under John Harbaugh, and the departure of Tierney and Bricillo leaves a couple of key vacancies to fill. With February just around the corner, Harbaugh and his staff will need to move fast to round out their coaching roster and get their offseason plans in motion.

As for Daboll and the Titans, the pieces are starting to fall into place. The next step? Turning that familiarity into production - and fast.
