The Green Bay Packers are on the hunt for a new Special Teams coordinator following Rich Bisaccia's departure. They've already conducted interviews with four promising candidates, each bringing their own unique experience to the table.
First up is Cam Achord, currently an assistant Special Teams coach with the Giants. Achord's journey in coaching began at Southern Miss as a graduate assistant from 2010 to 2012.
He then honed his skills at Southwest Mississippi Community College, where he wore multiple hats including Special Teams coordinator, running backs coach, quarterbacks coach, and tight ends coach, eventually becoming the offensive coordinator in 2017. Achord's big break came with the New England Patriots in 2018 as an assistant Special Teams coach, later advancing to coordinator in 2020.
After a solid stint through 2023, he moved to the Giants in 2024.
The Packers have also interviewed Tom McMahon from the Raiders, Sam Sewell from the Cardinals, and Kyle Wilber from the Saints, each bringing a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to the mix. As the Packers weigh their options, they're looking for someone who can elevate their Special Teams unit to new heights.
Stay tuned as Green Bay continues its search for the perfect fit to lead their Special Teams into the upcoming season.
