Odell Beckham Jr. went in front of the media in the Giants locker room to talk about winning, but the internet had other ideas.
Underdog NFL shared the Ralph Vacchiano clip on X, and it took off fast. Beckham said, “All I ever wanted to do for the Giants was win a championship.”
That should have been the headline. Instead, social media zeroed in on the way he looked in the video.
A lot of fans said Beckham appeared different, and the replies turned into a full-blown joke session. “That’s not Odell that’s Donell,” one person wrote, attaching a photo.
Another chimed in, “They cloned Odell,” while a third posted, “Nah they cloned bruh wtf that ain’t Odell.” One user went with, “That’s not Odell, that’s O Hell,” and another added, “Odell Botox Jr.”
Beckham, now 33, is back with New York after seven years away. The Giants made him the 12th overall pick in 2014, and he put up 390 catches, 5,476 yards, and 44 touchdowns in blue before moving on to Cleveland, the Rams, Baltimore, and Miami. He rejoined the Giants in June on a low-risk, one-year deal near the veteran minimum.
His return came after sitting out 2025 following a six-game PED suspension tied to last season. In 2024 with Miami, he caught nine passes for 55 yards. John Harbaugh now coaches the Giants after their time together in Baltimore.
The timing of the clip mattered, too, with roster cuts approaching and New York still not having announced its final 53. Beckham was competing for one of the last receiver spots behind Malik Nabers and Darius Slayton.
He had made a one-handed catch in practice days earlier, but he also had a rough moment in Miami when he dropped a touchdown and ended up on his knees. “I’m pissed,” he said then.
“This is the one that keeps me up at night.”
Beckham’s face became the meme, but the football side still has to be settled. He has a Super Bowl ring from the Rams and two torn ACLs on his resume.
He says he came back to earn a job, not to lean on nostalgia. The Giants will make the call soon.
