Giants Running Backs Stunned by Major Snub in Top Rankings

Despite being overlooked in the latest rankings, the Giants' dynamic trio is poised to prove their critics wrong this season.

What do Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Devin Singletary have in common? They were all left off Alex Kay's top running back room rankings.

Not even an honorable mention. Shocking, right?

Now, I'm not saying this is on par with the "Miracle at the Meadowlands" or the infamous 2002 Wildcard Playoff collapse, but it's close. The top five teams listed were the LA Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, and New Orleans Saints. Honorable mentions went to the Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, and Buffalo Bills.

Sure, it’s tough to argue that Skattebo or Tracy is outperforming talents like Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, or De'Von Achane. But remember, these rankings considered skill, past performance, and potential. So, where are the Giants?

Giants fans have reason to feel slighted by this omission. Enter Patrick “Pancake Pat” Ricard, the new fullback who’s ready to bulldoze defenders. At 300 pounds, Ricard is more than just a blocker; he's a dynamic force clearing paths for some exciting backs.

Skattebo is one of the most electrifying and unpredictable running backs we’ve seen in a while. Think Lightning McQueen every time he touches the ball.

An ankle injury sidelined him during his rookie season, but he's on track for a Week 1 comeback. Tracy, in his third year, boasts a two-year streak of 1,000 scrimmage yards, showing off his dual-threat capabilities.

And Singletary? He’s been a steady performer, averaging 4.4 yards per carry over his seven-year career.

Together, these three create an intriguing mix. While it's understandable why they were overlooked, leaving them out entirely seems like a miss.

Before his injury, Skattebo was on pace for 1,300 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie. Tracy Jr. has already delivered back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. That’s a lot of potential and production right there.

These players will get their opportunities. The system suits them, and there’s enough talent to make this exclusion look misguided.

For now, they’re off the rankings, but that might just set the stage for a stunning season. Keep an eye on them-they might just surprise everyone.
