The offensive line market in free agency is heating up, and teams like the New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, and Cleveland Browns are poised to dive right in.
The Browns, in particular, are facing a major overhaul. With Wyatt Teller confirming his departure in 2026, Cleveland might need to replace up to five starters as their entire offensive line hits free agency. That's a tall order for any franchise.
Over in Las Vegas, the Raiders are evaluating their needs across the board. With questions surrounding DJ Glaze at right tackle and Dylan Parham's free agency status, the team could be looking for help at guard, center, and tackle. The positioning of Jackson Powers-Johnson will also be a key decision for their new coaching staff.
Meanwhile, the Giants may find themselves needing to fill a guard spot if they choose not to re-sign Greg Van Roten. Additionally, there could be a shake-up at center with John Michael Schmitz's future uncertain.
All three teams are likely eyeing Green Bay Packers' Elgton Jenkins. Jenkins, a versatile offensive lineman, is on the radar as a potential cut due to his hefty $24.3 million cap hit next season.
The Packers could save a significant $19.5 million by releasing him, a move that might be necessary given their looming cap challenges. Sean Rhyan, who stepped in for Jenkins, could be a more cost-effective option for Green Bay.
Jenkins, a two-time Pro Bowler at guard, made a transition to center last season. Despite his season being cut short by a fractured fibula, he posted respectable grades with Pro Football Focus: 72.5 in pass-blocking and 60.6 in run-blocking, allowing only two sacks and 10 pressures in 10 games.
Given his ability to play both guard and center, and even tackle if needed, Jenkins is a prime candidate for teams like the Raiders, Giants, and Browns. Although he's coming off a serious injury and is now 30, his skill set ensures he remains a valuable asset in the free-agent market. While he may not command top dollar, his versatility and experience make him a sought-after option for teams looking to bolster their offensive line.
