The New York Giants may look different entering the new season, but one of the biggest concerns around the roster hasn’t gone away. The offensive line still carries plenty of questions, and one recent ranking makes that clear.
In a Thursday release of PFF’s 2026 NFL offensive line rankings, the Giants landed at No. 23. That’s a rough spot for a unit that’s supposed to help stabilize the offense.
PFF’s Gordon McGuinness called the group promising, but not quite ready to take a big leap just yet. His assessment centered on Andrew Thomas, who was the Giants’ best player last year by his view.
"Andrew Thomas was arguably the Giants' best player last year, as his 90.3 PFF grade tied for a career high," he states. "His issue has been staying healthy, having missed significant time both in 2023 and 2024."
McGuinness also pointed to first-round pick Francis Mauigoa as a potential difference-maker if he adjusts quickly.
"New York drafted Francis Mauigoa in the first round, and if he can hit the ground running, then the unit looks a lot stronger. But, it's a group that just might be another season away from making a bigger impact."
That leaves the Giants with a line that has some talent, but also enough uncertainty to keep expectations in check. New head coach John Harbaugh has only been around for a few months, so he hasn’t had time to fix everything. Still, this ranking suggests the offense may need more time before it can really click.
