If the Rams needed a reminder of what Davante Adams can still do when the lights get bright, Monday night delivered it in full. With Puka Nacua sidelined, Adams stepped into the center of the offense and put together one of the most explosive outings of his career, carving up the Giants’ secondary for 195 yards and two touchdowns through three quarters.
The numbers tell the story fast. Adams was targeted 10 times, caught eight passes, and kept stacking chunk gains while the Giants struggled to find any real answer for him. Even with extra attention available because Nacua was out, Adams kept winning, and his route running was the difference-maker all night.
He also climbed into some rare air with the performance. Monday marked the fourth time in Adams’ 13-year career that he has reached at least 190 receiving yards. It was his second-highest yardage total with any team and pushed his resume into another notable lane: he now has a 175-yard game with each of the four teams he has played for.
For Adams, this was vintage stuff. The 33-year-old looked every bit like the polished separator he’s been for years, and at times he made the Giants’ coverage look helpless. His second touchdown was especially rough on Giants cornerback Colton Hood, whom Adams left with no clean answer.
The game also stacked up nicely against the best receiving days of Adams’ career. He entered Monday with one 200-yard game on his ledger, a 206-yard outing in an overtime win over the Bengals during his final season with the Packers in 2021.
He had also posted 198 yards with the Jets on Dec. 15, 2024, and 196 yards with the Packers on Oct. 25, 2020.
Now he’s right there again with 195 yards and two scores for the Rams, which also blew past his previous high in Los Angeles. Before Monday, Adams’ best game with the Rams was 106 yards. That mark didn’t last long.
