Zach Wilson’s family got a little spotlight on a rough weekend for the Saints.
One day after New Orleans fell 34-0 to the Rams in Week 2 of the preseason, Wilson’s wife, Nicolette, shared a big reveal of their newborn daughter, Frankie Belle, on Instagram. The post included dozens of photos of the baby girl, with the centerpiece being a dedicated mother-daughter photoshoot and several candid shots of Frankie sleeping.
Nicolette said the pictures were shared to mark Frankie turning one month old. “Can’t believe our baby girl is already one month old. We love you so much Frankie Belle,” she wrote in the caption.
The couple first announced they were expecting on April 1, when Nicolette posted maternity photos of the two together. Then, four months later, she and Wilson announced Frankie’s birth in a joint post on Aug. 7.
“Our sweet Francesca Belle came into the world seven weeks early on July 22nd, and we couldn’t love her more. She has been an absolute rockstar in the NICU, growing stronger every single day, and we can’t wait for the day we finally bring her home!” Nicolette wrote in the caption.
Last week, she also posted a picture of Frankie watching her father in the Saints’ preseason opener against the Jaguars. Nicolette and the baby were following along from home.
On the field, Wilson had plenty to sort through after the shutout loss to Los Angeles. Speaking after the game, he said he planned to go back and study the film so he could clean up mistakes and find places to improve.
“It was ugly,” Wilson said. “But I think (it's) a good opportunity to see how guys respond. And then I always find, especially for a preseason game, like, you know, how many plays you'll go back and you kind of let, like, the cr*p of everything going on kind of get in the way of whatever your process and what your job is in the individual play.
“So, for me, personally, I'm excited to go back and watch it and just see where I can improve and get better.”
The Saints have dropped both of their preseason games so far. Their next chance comes Friday, when they visit the Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott at AT&T Stadium. Dallas has already beaten the Seahawks and Cardinals in preseason play.

Devin Neals preseason remains stuck in the same frustrating place after another hamstring issue surfaced in the Saints loss to the Rams.
