Titans Target Former Chiefs Coach for Key Offensive Role

The Titans coaching overhaul continues as they reportedly set their sights on a seasoned NFL wide receivers coach with a proven track record of developing top talent.

The Tennessee Titans are wasting no time building out their new coaching staff under Robert Saleh, and the latest move signals another key piece falling into place. After bringing on Shea Tierney to coach quarterbacks and Carmen Bricillo to oversee the offensive line, the Titans are reportedly zeroing in on their next hire - and it’s a name with deep NFL roots.

According to reports, Baltimore Ravens wide receivers coach Greg Lewis is expected to join Saleh’s staff in Tennessee, stepping into the same role. It's a move that adds both experience and credibility to a staff that’s quickly taking shape.

Lewis, a former NFL receiver himself, brings over a decade of coaching experience to the table. He’s been in the league since 2015, starting as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints before earning wide receivers coach roles with the Eagles, Chiefs, and most recently, the Ravens. That resume reads like a tour through some of the league’s most dynamic offenses - and it’s no coincidence.

During his time in Kansas City (2017-2022), Lewis worked closely with Tyreek Hill as the Chiefs’ offense evolved into a juggernaut under Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. In Baltimore, he helped Zay Flowers emerge as one of the more exciting young talents in the AFC. His track record with developing receivers - especially younger ones - makes him a valuable addition for a Titans team that’s looking to revamp its offensive identity.

And that’s where the bigger picture comes into focus. With Tierney, Bricillo, and now Lewis reportedly on board, Saleh and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll are assembling a unit built on development, scheme flexibility, and experience in high-powered systems. These aren’t just names - they’re coaches who’ve helped mold Pro Bowlers and Super Bowl contenders.

Now that the offensive staff is nearly complete, attention will shift to the other side of the ball. Saleh, a defensive mind by trade, is expected to begin finalizing his defensive hires in the coming days. That process - and the vision behind it - will likely be a major topic when he takes the podium for his introductory press conference on Thursday.

But for now, the Titans are sending a clear message: they’re building a staff with proven NFL experience and a track record of developing talent. Greg Lewis fits that mold - and if his work in Kansas City and Baltimore is any indication, Tennessee’s receivers could be in for a serious boost.
