Klint Kubiak didn’t have long to bask in the glow of a Super Bowl win with the Seahawks before shifting gears to his next challenge: taking over as offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders. And as he begins building out his staff in Vegas, Kubiak is already tapping into familiar territory - including faces he’s worked with in both New Orleans and Minnesota.
One name to watch closely is Andrew Janocko, currently the Seahawks’ quarterbacks coach. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Janocko is a strong candidate to join Kubiak in Las Vegas as offensive coordinator.
The connection runs deep - Janocko and Kubiak worked together with the Saints in 2024, and their roots trace back even further to their time with the Minnesota Vikings. That kind of continuity can be invaluable when installing a new system and culture, especially in a place like Vegas where the offense is in need of a clear identity.
Bringing in Janocko would mirror a move we’ve already seen recently in New Orleans, where Saints head coach Kellen Moore brought longtime collaborator Doug Nussmeier with him after stops together in Dallas and elsewhere. It’s a common trend in the league: coaches surround themselves with trusted voices who understand their philosophy and can help translate it to players quickly.
But Janocko might not be the only familiar face making the move. Kubiak previously hired Keith Williams as his wide receivers coach in New Orleans back in 2024.
Although Moore chose to retain Williams on his Saints staff in 2025, the Raiders could potentially offer him a more prominent role in 2026 - something that might be enough to lure him west. Williams is well-regarded for his work with receivers, and if Kubiak wants to elevate the passing game in Vegas, adding someone like Williams could be a smart play.
Of course, staff moves are just one piece of the puzzle. Player personnel will be the next big storyline to watch, especially with free agency looming.
There’s been some chatter about potential movement from New Orleans to Las Vegas, but don’t expect a blockbuster like Derek Carr returning to the Raiders. That ship has sailed.
Still, with Kubiak now at the helm of the Raiders offense, the foundation is being laid for a system built on familiarity, trust, and proven chemistry. If the early hires are any indication, he's pulling together a staff that knows his playbook, understands his tempo, and can hit the ground running - a crucial edge for a team trying to climb back into AFC contention.
