New Orleans Saints camp brought a little bit of everything on Day 3: Chris Olave back in the mix, Tyler Shough taking his shots downfield, a defense that kept its edge, and Charlie Smyth continuing to run a clean operation.
Olave’s return to full team drills came after he agreed to a four-year extension worth up to $132 million, and it gave Saints fans their first chance to see him working alongside rookie Jordyn Tyson. The offense is still searching for its groove, but the passing game got a noticeable boost with Olave back on the field.
Shough kept pushing the ball vertically and continued to show comfort when throwing to the tight ends. Juwan Johnson also weighed in on Shough’s development, adding another layer to the early look at how the rookie is settling in.
