The first SEC injury report for LSU vs. Ole Miss arrived Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. central, and the headline was hard to miss: Sam Leavitt is listed as doubtful.
For LSU, the expected names are all sitting in the probable column. Trey’Dez Green, Whit Weeks, Davhon Keys and Aliou Bah are all there, and all four should be expected to play.
Two LSU players landed in questionable status: TJ Dottery and Tylen Singleton. Dottery, in particular, does not sound like a real game-time mystery. The report suggests he should be out there against his former team this weekend.
LSU also listed three players as out. Phillip Wright III is among them after injuring his leg in the fourth quarter of the win over LA Tech.
He went to the locker room but later returned to the sideline for the final few minutes. Jaiden Braker and Raycine Guillory Jr. are also out, though neither has yet suited up or taken the field for LSU in 2026.
The surprise is Leavitt. There had been no real indication he was dealing with an injury, and when the report dropped, there was immediate uncertainty about even what the issue might be. About an hour later, reports surfaced that he may be dealing with a potential upper body injury and did not throw at practice on Wednesday.
That leaves the biggest question hanging over Saturday’s game: is Leavitt truly in danger of missing it? A doubtful designation makes that possibility very real, but there is still time for more information to come out.
SEC injury reports will be released each of the next two days, and Lane Kiffin’s radio show is set for Thursday at 6 p.m. central, where he is likely to be asked about it. The next injury report arrives Thursday at 7:10 p.m. central.
