Coach Kellen Moore shared insights at the NFL owners’ meetings, highlighting ongoing discussions aimed at extending Olave’s contract beyond his rookie-scale deal. With his fifth-year option already exercised, the Saints are keen to lock in Olave’s future.

Contracts like Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who inked a four-year, $168 million deal, and the Jets’ Garrett Wilson at four years, $130 million, have set the stage. Olave, who has expressed his desire to stay with the Saints, is also on the mend from a blood clot that sidelined him for the season’s final game. Moore remains optimistic about Olave’s recovery, stating, “Even though it’s the offseason and we’re not with them daily, Chris is doing great.”
