The New York Jets may still be firmly entrenched in a rebuild, but there’s one area on the roster that’s quietly laying the foundation for future success - the offensive line.
It starts with the bookends. Rookie tackles Armand Membou and Olu Fashanu are giving Jets fans a reason to believe.
Both young linemen bring high-end traits to the table - athleticism, footwork, and the kind of raw power that can be molded into something special. While it’s still early in their development, there’s a sense around the organization that these two could anchor the line for years to come.
Now, offensive line play doesn’t show up in fantasy box scores. There are no touchdowns, no receptions, no flashy highlight reels.
But that doesn’t mean it can’t be measured. Enter Pro Football Focus - the analytics outlet that grades every snap and provides a clearer picture of how each unit stacks up across the league.
Heading into Week 15, PFF has the Jets’ offensive line ranked 25th in the NFL. That’s not exactly elite territory, but it’s also not rock bottom - and more importantly, it reflects a unit that’s holding steady while others around them are sliding.

For the Jets, staying flat at 25th might not sound like much, but context matters. This is a team that’s dealt with offensive inconsistency, injuries, and a rotating cast of quarterbacks.
Yet through it all, the line hasn’t regressed. That’s a small win - and in a rebuild, stacking small wins is how you turn the corner.
The real intrigue lies in the potential. Membou and Fashanu are the kind of prospects that can change the trajectory of a franchise - not overnight, but over time. If the Jets can continue developing those two while adding depth and consistency on the interior, this line could evolve into a top-half unit sooner than most expect.
And when that happens, everything else - the run game, the passing attack, the quarterback’s confidence - starts to fall into place.
For now, the Jets’ offensive line remains a work in progress. But it’s a work worth watching.
