The Falcons have locked in Kyle Pitts on a new three-year deal, while the Saints are already hearing plenty of buzz around first-round pick Jordyn Tyson and the fit he brings for Tyler Shough. In San Francisco, Ji’Ayir Brown is heading into a contract year with his next move tied to how he performs.
For Atlanta, Pitts’ contract replaces the franchise tag and comes in at $53 million over three years. According to Over The Cap, the deal includes $36 million fully guaranteed, built around a $16.785 million signing bonus and fully guaranteed salaries of $1.215 million and $1.260 million in 2026 and 2027.
The structure also gives Pitts plenty of room to cash in later. He has a 2027 option bonus worth $16.49 million and a 2028 option bonus worth $13.16 million.
On top of that, he can pick up another $1 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2028 league year, plus as much as $1 million more in per-game active roster bonuses that season. There’s also a 2028 salary escalator that could add another $1 million tied to performance and honor achievements.
Out in New Orleans, Tyson is being brought in as another weapon for second-year quarterback Tyler Shough, and Shough is already talking like he sees something special. On the Green Light podcast, he said, “I mean his brother’s an NBA player for the Cavs, Jaylen,” Shough said, via the Green Light podcast.
“He’s kind of just like an elite hooper. Like he’s just going to go; he’s going to hoop regardless.
Like he’s going to go jump out the gym on somebody. He’s going to get open in the most crazy way, but he’s also kind of got this grittiness to him that I feel like not a lot of people give him credit for.”
Shough also pointed to Tyson’s injury history and said he can relate to that part of the story. “I had some connections at Arizona State who said great things about him and his journey.
He had been injured quite a few times. You know, we’ve both broken collarbones.
He’s had a knee, you know; he was battling kind of a hammy there at the end of the year. And that was kind of the story of me coming out of the draft was I had some injuries in the past, and I was like, man, screw this.
I’m just going to go out there and be myself. And I feel like that’s the best part about him.
Getting to know him is that he’s just one of one person, and you know, obviously kind of getting to work with him in camp as we kind of continue to go forward is going to be even more exciting.”
In San Francisco, Brown is entering the final season of his rookie deal, and ESPN’s Nick Wagoner noted that the 49ers don’t seem eager to rush into more extensions after getting Trent Williams’ deal completed. Wagoner added that if Brown turns in a strong season, he’d put himself in position for a new contract.

Kellen Moore Might Finally Get The Saints Weapon They've Been Missing
A hypothetical draft board can change the way a teams future looks in a hurry, and this one gives the Saints a chance to imagine a very different kind of offense. In the seven-round scenario, New Orleans lands Jordan Love early and then circles back for Malik Nabers, a receiver whose burst and route-running would fit neatly into the kind of passing game Kellen Moore has tried to build around playmakers who can win after the catch.
The appeal is obvious because Nabers already looked like a difference-maker as a rookie, and the comparison to CeeDee Lamb only sharpens the picture of what Moore might be able to shape in New Orleans. The lingering question is whether the board would ever break that cleanly for the Saints, because in this setup Nabers is still there late enough to become the kind of value pick that can tilt a draft and give Moore the weapon this offense has been missing. Former Saints Champion Just Resurfaced In Deion Sanders' Staff Shakeup
Deion Sanders has kept the Colorado staff in motion, and the latest additions bring in two former NFL players with a familiar connection to his new defensive coordinator. Pierson Prioleau and Xavier Adibi have been hired as defensive quality control analysts, giving the Buffaloes more experience on the defensive side after a recent run of turnover on the sideline.
For Saints fans, Prioleaus name still carries some weight from his days as a New Orleans champion, and now he is resurfacing in a different role under Sanders. Both hires worked with new defensive coordinator Chris Marve at Virginia Tech, which gives Colorado some continuity as it tries to settle the staff after the departures of Marshall Faulk and Warren Sapp. [Read more 🡒]
Tyler Shough Just Sent A Strong Message About Saints Wideouts
Tyler Shough has not been shy about what he sees when he looks at the Saints receiving room. Speaking on Chris Longs podcast, the quarterback praised Chris Olave and Jordyn Tyson as the kind of pass catchers who can make life easier on an offense, pointing to their speed, route-running and ability to create plays after the catch. For a New Orleans team trying to build chemistry around its young quarterback, those are the kinds of early impressions that matter.
Shoughs comments also offered a glimpse into how he views Tyson beyond the highlights. He acknowledged the receivers injury history, but made it clear he is still eager to get to work with him this season. The Saints have spent plenty of time looking for more reliable explosiveness on the outside, and Shoughs confidence in both receivers suggests he already sees a pairing with real upside if they can stay on the field.
