Cardi B has officially confirmed what fans had been speculating for weeks - her relationship with Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs is over.
The breakup buzz started swirling after Diggs posted a cryptic message on Instagram shortly after New England’s Super Bowl 60 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Then came the social media unfollowing - a modern-day relationship red flag - as fans noticed both Cardi and Diggs had quietly hit the unfollow button on each other.
Now, there's no more guessing. During a stop on her Little Miss Drama Tour in Los Angeles, Cardi B addressed the situation head-on while taking a not-so-subtle shot at fellow rapper Bia. Right before launching into her performance of “Pretty & Petty,” Cardi took a moment to set the record straight:
“Let me tell you something, just because I ain’t f**king with my baby daddy doesn’t mean you get to talk about my baby daddy, btch! This for you, btch!”
The message was loud and clear - the relationship with Diggs may be over, but Cardi isn’t about to let anyone, especially Bia, take shots at him unchecked. Her comments seemed to be a direct response to a jab Bia had posted days earlier on X (formerly Twitter), where she wrote:
“Can u name someone with more bms than receiving yards? I can!
and I know that… ykwnvm 😂😂😂”
It’s not the first time we’ve seen personal drama spill over into the sports world, but it’s a reminder that NFL players - especially high-profile ones like Diggs - often live in a very public spotlight, on and off the field.
And speaking of the field, Diggs’ play in 2025 did plenty of talking on its own.
After signing a three-year, $63.5 million deal with the Patriots last offseason - a move that raised eyebrows given his age (32) and the fact he was coming off a season-ending ACL tear - Diggs delivered in a big way. He hauled in 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns, becoming the first Patriots receiver to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark since 2019.
More importantly, he was a steadying presence for second-year quarterback Drake Maye, who took a big leap forward in his development. With limited depth in the Patriots' receiving corps, Diggs became Maye’s go-to guy and a key reason the offense found its rhythm late in the season.
So while his personal life may be making headlines right now, Diggs’ impact on the field is what should have Patriots fans excited heading into 2026. If he stays healthy, there’s every reason to believe he’ll remain Maye’s most trusted target - and a critical piece of New England’s offensive puzzle.
