Stefon Diggs Sends Love to Buffalo as He Prepares for Super Bowl Run with Patriots
As Stefon Diggs gears up for the biggest game of the season, he’s not forgetting where he came from. The New England Patriots wide receiver took a moment this week to show love to his former quarterback, Josh Allen, and the Buffalo Bills fanbase - a nod that didn’t go unnoticed.
Speaking ahead of the 2026 Super Bowl, Diggs called Allen a “future Hall of Famer” and expressed admiration for the fans who supported him during his four standout seasons in Western New York.
“I love y’all,” Diggs said. “I know I’m far gone, but I do miss y’all.
I had a great relationship with y’all. Parts of me wish things were different.
I got a lot of love and respect for that team.”
It’s a rare moment of reflection from a player in the middle of a championship push, but it speaks volumes about what those years in Buffalo meant to him. And for Bills fans, it’s a reminder that while players move on, the bonds built during those playoff runs don’t fade easily.
Diggs didn’t hold back when talking about the Bills’ fanbase either, calling them “one of the craziest in the world.” If you’ve ever been to Orchard Park in December, you know that’s not an exaggeration - that crowd lives and breathes football.
On the other side of the equation, Josh Allen was asked about Diggs’ comments and responded with the kind of respect that’s defined their relationship, even after the trade.
“I’ve been off all social media so I did not see that until you said that,” Allen said Wednesday. “Again, got nothing but love and respect for Stef.
Some of the plays he made for us and even continues to make now… I mean, I was watching the Texans game where he caught a little short post in the end zone. The dude is an unbelievable football player.”
Allen continued, “He was a great teammate when he was here in Buffalo. And again, nothing but love and respect for him.
That’s what I have to say about that. He is an absolute stud, he’s a fantastic football player.”
It’s no surprise that the mutual admiration runs deep. From 2020 to 2023, Diggs and Allen were one of the most dynamic quarterback-receiver duos in the league.
Diggs racked up 445 receptions, 5,372 yards, and 37 touchdowns in those four seasons - earning a Pro Bowl nod every year. Allen, meanwhile, finished in the top five in MVP voting twice and led Buffalo to multiple deep playoff runs.
Their chemistry was undeniable, and it helped elevate the Bills into perennial contenders during that stretch. Now, with Diggs chasing a ring in New England, and Allen still leading the charge in Buffalo, both are carving out their own legacies - but the respect between them hasn’t gone anywhere.
In a league where relationships can sour quickly, this one seems to have stood the test of time. And as Diggs prepares to take the field on Super Bowl Sunday, Bills fans might find themselves quietly rooting for their former No. 1 - if only for a moment.
